Software Tester

We’re a fast growing tech start-up based in Richmond. We’re changing the world with innovative internet cameras that allow people to see their stuff from wherever they are, from desktops, tablets or smartphones.

We’re currently looking for an intern to work as a tester within our software development team, where you’ll become part of the driving force behind our cutting-edge disruptive technology. You won’t be making tea or running errands - this is a chance to work on live projects and get real industry experience.

What you will be doing:

- Getting to grips with our software and its underlying system architecture and requirements
- Supporting the software testing process and creating test scripts
- Tracking and maintaining defect lists and helping to resolve issues
- Running manual testing techniques, as well as automating scripts using Selenium IDE and Eclipse
- Giving your own input to the product release process

You will need:

- An understanding of HTML, SQL, JIRA, Selenium IDE, and web technologies
- A good understanding of why testing is so important in the software development cycle
- A methodical, systematic, yet creative, approach to testing tasks and software
- An ability to articulate issues and scenarios both verbally and written
- An ability to challenge workflows and processes in the quest for improvement
- Great communication skills and a great attention to detail
