Gloople, an award-winning e-commerce product and Smarta StartUp 100 Winner is looking for a talented senior developer to help drive the second release of our all-in-one social shopping solution. You will be working in our lovely offices in tech city (Shoreditch) in the heart of the UK’s digital sector.

We have recently been given significant funding to help develop the product into a new SaaS solution. Your role will be vital to the development of this project, as you will help deploy our e-commerce product to a global audience.

Before now, our USP has been to provide high quality user experiences for our online store owners and their customers. By implementing up-to-date technologies alongside engaging interfaces, we want to ensure that e-commerce keeps up with the innovation found in abundance on the rest of the web. Gloople is now expanding, and we need the right people behind it to make sure we carry on meeting our objective.

DESCRIPTION

Advising on which technology can best deliver against strategic objectives.

Leading technological innovation within the product.

Agile (SCRUM) project management methodologies.

Help to develop the new CMS for our e-commerce product.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Loves to play around with technology at work and at home. Actively shares those experiences with others (via blog/github etc).

An analytical thinker that takes time to contemplate, debate, and gather evidence for their choices before implementation into the product.

You like a challenge, and are not afraid to put in the hard work to see the results; somebody who is able to be a key member of a small team and be a leader in the product build from start to finish.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years experience in the digital space

OOP, PHP.x, MySQL, JQuery.

Source control - GIT

Agile (SCRUM) project management methodologies (non-essential)

Educated to degree level (2:1 or above)

HTML5, CSS3 (non-essential)
