Commonplace is a digital tool for neighbourhoods and property developers. We help neighbourhoods understand and act on their needs, and property developers reduce their planning risk and costs.
We've been accelerated by Bethnal Green Ventures, secured seed funding and have paying customers. Having proved the business model and tested our prototype, we are now expanding the team to scale up, and looking to hire a CTO in a founder-level position.
Commonplace is a responsive design, mobile-first web application. Our prototype is an HTML/CSS/JS client with a GIS database server, however you will be defining our future technical architecture.
Roadmap priorities include: improved implementation of responsive design; social media integration & mining; data visualisation & mapping; user account management.
We seek a talented technologist with a track record of implementing scalable web applications, who can lead the technical development of the business. We want someone who can roll up their sleeves to write code, as well as taking up the reins - overseeing the architecture, methodology and team.
We'd love to hear from you if you have an entrepreneurial attitude and examples of stand-out tech projects, particularly in any of the areas mentioned above. You may be working in a large or small company, have a portfolio of projects, or an academic background. Most of all you'll have a hunger to be a founding member of a successful new tech business.
